THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our team at The Gardens at Qualicum Beach.
We currently have three full-time shift options available, all following a 4 days on, 2 days off rotation.
Available Full-Time Lines
Morning Line: 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM (4 mornings, 2 days off)
Evening Line: 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM (4 evenings, 2 days off)
Mixed Line: 2 morning shifts (6:30 AM – 2:30 PM) and 2 evening shifts (2:30 PM – 10:30 PM), followed by 2 days off.

Key Responsibilities
Coordinate resident admissions, discharges, and transfers.
Conduct resident assessments and develop individualized care plans.
Administer medications, treatments, and wound care.
Maintain accurate electronic documentation using PointClickCare (PCC), including eMAR and MDS assessments.
Collaborate with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary care team members.
Delegate appropriate tasks to unregulated care providers within their scope of practice.
Participate in care conferences, medication reviews, and ongoing care planning.
Monitor residents' health conditions and respond appropriately to changes in their needs.
Promote a safe, respectful, and resident-centred care environment.
Qualifications
Current registration and good standing with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) as a Licensed Practical Nurse – Required.
Current CPR and First Aid certification.
Proficiency in electronic documentation and eMAR.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Excellent critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Previous experience in long-term care is preferred.
Ability to meet applicable immunization and infection prevention requirements.
