We’re currently looking for a Resident Support Manager (Registered Social Worker) to join our amazing team, serving both Braddan Private Hospital and Point Grey Private Hospital in beautiful Vancouver, B.C.

As our Resident Support Manager, you’ll be a vital member of the interdisciplinary care team, supporting residents and families through transitions, offering emotional and psychosocial guidance, and helping create a warm, respectful, and resident-centered environment. Your care, advocacy, and insight will help improve the quality of life for the people we serve—every single day.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Resident & Family Support

• Assist residents and families with the transition to long-term care.
• Provide emotional support, therapeutic communication, and practical guidance.
• Facilitate discussions around advance care planning, guardianship, and end-of-life preferences.

Collaborative Care Planning

• Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences and assessments.
• Coordinate with community partners and health authorities to ensure continuity of care.
• Address ethical concerns and help resolve conflicts when they arise.

Leadership & Advocacy

• Educate staff on social work principles and resident advocacy.
• Contribute to social work program development and quality improvement.
• Create a supportive and inclusive environment for residents and team members.

Crisis & Emotional Care

• Lead crisis intervention and debriefing sessions.
• Provide expertise in grief and palliative care for residents and their loved ones.

What We’re Looking For:

• Education: Bachelor of Social Work (BSW)
• Registration: Registered and in good standing with the BC College of Social Workers (BCCSW)
• Experience: Ideally in long-term care or healthcare settings
• Skills: Strong communication, conflict resolution, and crisis support
• Teamwork: Able to work both independently and within a collaborative team
• Bonus: Familiarity with PointClickCare and BC’s Community Care and Assisted Living Act

Point Grey Private Hospital
Located in Vancouver’s scenic Kitsilano neighborhood, Point Grey offers breathtaking views of the ocean and mountains. This beautifully updated four-story care home (expanded in 2020) features 153 licensed residential beds—primarily private rooms—designed for comfort and community. Each floor includes a cozy dining area, recreational spaces, and a large outdoor patio.
Point Grey works in collaboration with Vancouver Coastal Health to offer funded care, along with five private-pay rooms. The setting is both homelike and modern, offering a warm, dignified environment for residents and families.

Braddan Private Hospital
